(con nued from page 3) Remember we are not of this world. I believe before you can reach a confidence in Christ, your success is all about growing yourself in him. Ge ng into the Word, learning the Word, studying it. Praying!! Growing your faith in God and in every single Circumstance. Learning from your Mistakes. Asking for forgiveness. Moving Forward! Doing all of these things are steps to growing a confidence in who you are in God! If we are not doing these things we will con nue to gravitate to other things trying to heal areas where God can only help us! Romans 12:9-12 (AMP) 9 Love is to be sincere and ac ve [without hypocrisy]. Hate what is evil [detest all ungodliness, do not tolerate wickedness]; hold on ghtly to what is good. 10 Be devoted to one another with brotherly affec on, give preference to one another in honor; 11 never lagging behind in diligence; aglow in the Spirit, enthusias cally serving the Lord; 12 constantly rejoicing in hope [because of our confidence in Christ], steadfast and pa ent in distress, devoted to prayer [and con nually seeking wisdom, guidance, and strength]. Being confident in Christ also doesn't mean that we have to have everything figured out either. Growing takes me. But what being confident in Christ does mean is that we need to develop a Full Trust and belief in God and what his word says about us and what he promised us. Once we get there, then we can fully walk out our walk with God and have a full Confidence in Jesus Christ. Dr. Mark Barclay speaking at FCFC on August 12, 2020 4
